Pro-rector Reka presented his paper entitled "The Challenges of Energy Geopolitics of the Balkans", which analyzes the latest energy geostrategic developments in the Balkans.
Based on this development in the region, it is expected that the ‘Turkish Stream’ would fail, and Russia will be re-reoriented towards the ‘North Stream’ (through Germany), if the EU ‘third energy package would allow it’.
Following these broad energy scenarios, three main suppliers (Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran) would compete with one other; and three transit states would be of key importance (Turkey, Greece and Albania), said Reka, referring to his paper concerning the energy geopolitics of the Balkans.
Germia Hill is an annual conference organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, in cooperation with the Aspen Institute, in which participants are recognized politicians, international experts and journalists.
