Quality the main brand of SEEU

On Wednesday (23.12.2015), in SEEU Tetovo, the traditional year-end meeting with the media was held. The Rector of SEEU, Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika, noted in his speech that ‘Our University is one of the only higher education institutions in the region and in Europe which marked an increased number of students enrolled compared with last year’.

“This year we managed to enrol 10 percent more students than last year. This is the main motivation to continue our path of quality in teaching, scientific research and cooperation with the labour market as part of an internationalization strategy,” said the Rector. He highlighted the fact that so far the University has graduated 11,500 students, and currently over 4,000 students are actively studying. This year 15 study programmes in the first cycle of studies were offered, 26 study programmes in the second cycle of studies and 12 study programmes in the third cycle of studies (doctoral).

“Novelties for the new academic year are two study programmes: Applied Computer Science, in collaboration with Coventry University, and Economics and Management, in collaboration with the London School of Economics.”
“Within the Institute for Environment and Health, the University--in cooperation with the Ministry of the Environment--is implementing a project for the construction of mobile stations for measuring air parameters in the Tetovo region. This will contribute to the scientific data related to air pollution in the region of Polog. In this respect it continues our implementation of the Climate Action Plan, according to which we built the ecological plant for central heating and ecological solar panels for producing electric power”.
Regarding future plans Rector Dika said: "We will continue with the support of scientific research through projects like 'Horizon 2020'; we will continue with the external international review of our study programmes; and we will continue to promote our integrated study programmes.”

The Rector’s Advisor for Public Relations and Communication, Demush Bajrami, thanked journalists for their work and for the correct information that they have written or broadcast about our University.

“During this year we have had numerous events and thanks to you, the media representatives, these events were presented to a wider public” he said.
