The conference gathered approximately 300 researchers from around the world. It was opened by Prof. Dr. Claus Offe, Emeritus Professor from the Hertie School of Government, Berlin, and Prof. Dr. Michael Kennedy from Brown University, USA. Also addressing the opening session was the Rector of UNYT, Prof. Dr. Fatos Tarifa.
Prof. Reka presented his paper, entitled "From post-communist to non-liberal elites in the Western Balkans and geopolitical consequences." The abstract of the paper was published in the conference 'Book of Abstracts,' and will be published as a full paper by the international journal "Global Trends" in Paris, in March 2016.
