“It is a privilege and a pleasure to be among those who little by little with their commitment and their work have placed brick on brick in building what we have today, this model of higher education, as is our University”, said Rector Dika.
"History recalls those values and processes that make us unique as a nation. Maybe it's all coincidence, but the birthday of our university is precisely in November, coinciding with the major events of our nation - such as the Albanian Language Alphabet that was a result of the Congress of Manastir (Bitola). From its establishment, the mission of South East European University was clearly expressed, including the commitment to promote the Albanian language in higher education, in addition to efforts to achieve excellence in teaching and research.Without these efforts, we would not be able to speak today about creating equal opportunities in an open environment and with multilingual and multicultural international perspectives", Rector Dika added.
“I will share with you a moment of reflection, from a meeting that we had these days with the external evaluators from Croatia, who met with students of the Faculty of Law, where all of us present understood each other, in any spoken language, i.e., Albanian, Macedonian, English, Croatian, and Turkish. It is a value and a merit of all, "said the President of the SEEU Board, Prof. Dr. Dennis Farrington.
During this ceremony, the elected members of the SEEU Student Parliament and Association and the Student Ombudsperson took their respective oaths of office.
