The book for the Albanians of the Upper Reka was promoted at SEEU

On Wednesday, 5th November, at the Skopje Campus of South East European University, the book ‘Shqiptarët e Rekës së Epërme – Përball sfidave të kohës’, (Albanians of the Upper Reka-Facing the Challenges of Time) was promoted.

The book is a conference proceedings of the international scientific conference entitled “Upper Reka and Reka’s Albanians”.

Speaking about the book, the SEEU Pro-Rector for International Relations, Prof. Dr. Blerim Reka, said that "the Albanian language was and remained the language of Albanians of the Upper Reka and no regime could change this fact”.

"Promotion of this book is result of several year's work which culminated with the international scientific conference that was held last year in Leunovë of Reka", said Prof. Dr. Vebi Bexheti.

The historian Nebi Dervishi, said that "this province is the main part of the Albanian trunk".

The participants expressed the belief that this book will serve as source for future studies for the Albanians of the Upper Reka.
