The NORMAK Project for Sustainable Energy was presented

On Monday (29.09.2014), at South East European University, the NORMAK project for sustainable energy was presented. NORMAK, which is funded through the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, unites SEEU, the Polytechnic University ofTirana, and the University of Prishtina as partners in the project.

The Coordinator of this project for South East European University, Academician Alajdin Abazi, said that the budget of this project is 960 thousand Euro, and the participating universities have the possibility of offering a new programme in graduate studies in the field of sustainable energy. This is an opportunity for research projects as well as for the expansion of existing laboratories. Students who take advantage of this opportunity will be able to study for a semester in Norway.

NORMAK Sustainable Energy will raise institutional capacities and strengthen the R&D Energy system sectors in Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo through higher education, particularly via the knowledge/teaching process, R&D know-how and technology transfer from Norway.
