On 20th September, SEE University in Skopje inaugurated the first charging station for electric vehicles in Macedonia, in a ceremony attended by the Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Mr.
Nurhan Izairi; the President of EMKICE (European-Macedonian Centre for Innovation and Knowledge), Mr. Ilija Vuckov; the entrepreneur and the owner of a Tesla Model S, Mr. Sasha Cvetojevik; and the Director of SEEU Tech Park, Dr. Azir Aliu.
“The Technology Park is a place where the conditions are created for close and durable links between academia and industry with the aim of turning knowledge and expertise in stocks, production and investment” said Dr. Aliu.
“South East European University, with its Technological Park, is in line with the world's innovations and with the leaders in the region in the preservation of natural values and the ecosystem”, said the Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Mr. Nurhan Izairi.
Sasha Cvetojevik (owner of a Tesla Model S that he generously brought for public inspection) gave his support for this initiative, which aims to popularize the use of electric and hybrid vehicles in Southeast Europe, to raise awareness for a cleaner and healthier environment, and to create a green corridor station for charging electric vehicles.
