From the 5th to the 9th of May, students from the SEEU Faculty of Law led by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Ismail Zejneli, Pro-dean Doc. Dr. Jeton Shasivari, Prof. Dr. Asllan Bilalli and Prof. Dr. Adnan Jashari, and accompanied by the President of the University Board, Prof. Dr. Dennis Farrington, this year undertook a study visit to Britain. This year they visited the University of Oxford where they were closely acquainted with the history, organization, activities and challenges of this institution of higher education with a worldwide reputation, with special emphasis on curriculum and the way of work of its Faculty of Law.
In London, they visited the Central Criminal Court where students and the staff followed several trials on various criminal matters and had the opportunity to get acquainted with the way of organizing and conducting litigation under the Anglo-Saxon legal system. Also, in London, they visited the Middle Temple, which has hundreds of years of experience of legal education and training of British students and lawyers, in order to achieve the highest professional standards in the performance of the judicial and legal professions in Britain. Also, they visited the Supreme Court of the UK in London, where students and the staff had the opportunity to participate in a civil trial and be familiar with the role of this Court as the final appeal court in the UK for all criminal and civil matters with a special public and constitutional importance of the Anglo-Saxon legal system of Britain.
This study visit was successful, as it served to provide for the acquisition and exchange of educational and professional experiences for the students and the academic staff of the SEEU Faculty of Law.
