U.S. Ambassador Paul Wohlers Holds a Lecture on U.S. Elections at SEEU

On Thursday (1 November 2012) the Ambassador of the United States to Macedonia H.E. Paul Wohlers held a lecture for SEEU students on the topic of "U.S. Elections."

Ambassador Wohlers informed students that on 6 November Americans will be voting for President, but may also be voting for their representatives in Congress as well as State and local representation. Moreover, Ambassador Wohlers also presented the process of selecting political party nominees and helped SEEU students in understanding both the importance and role of the individual State elections and the Electoral College.

Ambassador Wohlers took questions from students including the issue of foreign policy continuation after the elections and questions related to political parties in the United States.

Before the lecture, SEEU's Rector, Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika briefed Ambassador Wohlers on new developments of the university.
