The South East European University, represented by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika, Rector Emeritus Acad. Alajdin Abazi, and Luan Eshtrefi, Head of the SEEU International Relations Office, visited Ankara, Turkey on 31 March, taking part in the first General Assembly of the International University Council (IUC).
In his remarks, Rector Dika mentioned that the IUC should focus on trends in higher education by incorporating the European, American, and national experiences in higher education. Rector Dika said that the IUC members should identify national values in the forefront of changes in higher education, giving the example of a new focus on E-learning academic programmes.
The IUC has nearly 100 University members from all around the world and will focus on mutual cooperation in higher education. SEEU became a member in March 2011.
