The book “Tempulli i demokracisë” was promoted

The book Tempulli i demokracisë (Temple of Democracy) by the author Ylli Bufi, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania was promoted at SEEU on 25 November. SEEU’s Pro-Rector for Research and Promotion, Prof. Dr. Blerim Reka, opened the ceremony and among others said “the author-Bufi, gives an anatomic analysis of the Albanian Parliament, which the author rightly calls the "Temple of Democracy.”
“The author’s in-depth analysis, gives a reflection that if the assembly is the temple of democracy, it is the bright point of this voluminous study as well, which we are promoting today. The dilemma that the author presents in his foreword is formulated with the following questions: How is the Parliament? How should the Parliament be?” said Pro-rector Blerim Reka.
On behalf of the Government of RM, the Deputy-Prime Minister Abdylaqim Ademi, greeted the promotion of the book, who assessed the book as extremely important not only for parliament, but also for all politicians.
At this book promotion spoke: the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Macedonia, HE Arben Çejku, former Minister for Foreign Affairs Republic of Albania, Paskal Milo, Member of Parliament Afrim Krasniqi and Professor Ylber Sela.
The common denominator of their speeches was that the book gives a valuable contribution to the new Albanian democracy and politics and current and future Albanian politicians.
 The author, Ylli Bufi, thanked SEEU for the organization, and said that the aim of the book is to encourage reflection of politicians, because current challenge is to reflect what you have done and to find ways to move forward.
Regarding the role of parliament, the author said that in recent years there is a clash on what is a democratic parliament. According to him, parliament should be open, representative, give and ask for accountability and be accessible to citizens.
