Prof. Karen Westwood Joins SEEU as a Fulbright Scholar for One Year

South East European University today welcomed Prof. Karen Westwood, who will spend one year as part of our academic community through the prestigious Fulbright Program.

In her first meeting with the Rector, Prof. Dr. Sadudin Ibraimi, and Prof. Dr. Besa Arifi, Adviser for International Relations and Community, Prof. Westwood was introduced to the mission, priorities, and current developments at SEEU, as well as her role during her stay in Tetovo.

During this year, she will lecture in the course Legal Methodology and will work closely with the Max van der Stoel Institute, the University Library, and the faculties, bringing innovative approaches to teaching, research, and international collaboration.

Prof. Westwood has an extensive career in the fields of law and law libraries. She holds a Juris Doctor (JD) from Hamline University School of Law (2007, Magna Cum Laude) and currently serves as the Director of the Anne W. Grande Law Library, Hennepin County, Minnesota (USA), where she manages staff, budget, and library services. Her rich academic and professional experience will be a valuable contribution to university life at SEEU.
