SEEU marked the 23rd anniversary of its establishment

In his address speech, the Rector of the South East European University, Acad. Prof. Dr. Abdylmenaf Bexheti, emphasized that the University turns 23 years old, precisely in the month when we celebrate other important dates for our community, such as the Albanian Alphabet as well as of the Independence of the Albanian state and our National Flag.

“At SEEU the process of horizontal academic expansion continues successfully, in line with the requirements of the labor market. The third generation in the Faculty of Health Sciences with two bachelor's programs, marks an increase of over 65% compared to that of the first generation. We are currently working on creating the Therapeutic Center (SEEU- Life) for student internships, for community services in an environment with excellent working conditions. The Architecture and Design program, with all specific subprograms in 10-semester integrated studies, exceeds the number of 300 students. This imposed the need to create a separate faculty, that of Technical Sciences, a process that was successfully completed in June of this year. In addition to these two faculties with high growth this year, to our pleasant surprise, the Faculty of Business Economics also achieved a high growth of over 40% compared to the previous year”, emphasized in his speech Rector Bexheti.

“SEEU successfully continues its journey as a unique tri-lingual University, with 45 undergraduate and second-cycle study programs, 2 specialist programs and 12 third-cycle study programs, with a total of over 4.500 active students and about 3.000 inactive students as we call students with stagnation in studies. Through continuous restructuring of programs, this number will be significantly consolidated, focusing on new programs in line with labor market requirements. In this process of program expansion, we are aware of the great importance of "depth" of learning is much more important than the "breadth" of programs and profiles” noted among others Rector Bexheti.

“SEEU embodies this spirit of continuous evolution, adapting to the needs of our students and the ever-changing world. Just as the Earth's tilt ensures balance in nature, SEEU strives for balance between academic rigor and practical application, ensuring our graduates are well-prepared for the challenges of their careers” said in his address speech President of the Board Prof. Dr. Klaus Tochtermann.

During the Ceremony, the Rector and the President of the Board symbolically presented personalized gifts and recognition to employees who have completed 20 and 10 years of service at the university. Recognition was also given to personalities who have contributed to the internationalization and development of the University.

At this 23^rd Anniversary Ceremony, the doctoral students of the generation 2023-2024 were promoted, who solemnly received their diplomas.

President of Student e Parliament and Association, Mevlan Ademi, in his address speech congratulated the staff for their commitment to the students and in particular Rector Bexheti, to whom he symbolically presented a plaque as a sign of gratitude.

The wind duet instruments Driton Beqiri and Argjira Çollaku took care of the artistic side of the Ceremony.
