New donation from Crisis Management Center to the SEEU NICS VR Lab

This donation is part of the NICS project coordinated by Urim Vejseli and consists of two specialized drones and one powerful computer system. With these new additions the NICS VR Lab has increased its technical capabilities and now besides VR and AR devices it also has UAVs that will be used to support first responders during emergencies.

These high end devices will further support current research done by our staff members in the field of 3D terrain and building mapping using photogrammetry. Application of our research was earlier presented in the field during the NATO EADRCC exercise held in Ohrid during September of 2021. Using the new devices this process will be executed much more precisely and effectively.
