The Faculty of Contemporary Social Sciences is the newest innovation of the academic offer of South East European University (SEEU) for the academic year 2018/19. This was announced by the Rector of SEEU, Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika, at the promotional 'Open Day,' which was held on Saturday (31 March 2018).
Several hundred high school students from Macedonia, parents and teachers participated in these activities. In addition to hearing about the academic offer, the guests were informed about the infrastructure of SEEU, the professors who teach here, and other capacities that the University possesses.
“The high school graduates--our prospective students--showed a high level of interest, listened attentively to the offer and were informed about our capacities. We continue to be a distinguished brand of higher education in Macedonia and beyond," said Rector Dika.
In the new academic year we plan to enrol about 800 students in undergraduate studies and 400 in master studies. This year we will offer doctoral studies again, for which the interest is enormous, but for which legal requirements restrict our ability to enrol all capable candidates.
“SEEU continues to have a strong coalition with the international and local community, focusing on maintaining the quality of teaching and the quality of the graduates who search for job opportunities in the labour market. This guarantees them a successful future and a rich career," said Rector Dika.
The Rector’s Adviser for PR, Doc. Dr. Demush Bajrami, and the Director of Student Services, Abaz Selmani, responded directly to many questions asked by students about programme offerings and scholarship opportunities during the introductory sessions, where a high level of interest in studying at SEEU was evidenced.
Open Day was accompanied by other activities, which were carried out by students and faculty staff, like cultural, sports and entertainment activities.
