On Saturday (15th April 2017), the Faculty of Law of South East European University held the first scientific conference of students from the 3 study cycles.

In the first part of the conference two judges gave lectures: Xhemali Saiti – a judge in the Supreme Court of the Republic of Macedonia, and Ali Aliu – a judge in the Appeal Court in Gostivar. After their lectures, both judges (together with the two other panelists, the Dean of the Faculty Doc. Dr. Emine Zendeli, and Assoc. In her introductory speech, Dean Zendeli stated that the idea of organizing this conference aims to promote research activity among students, by introducing a new spirit of research and by preparing students to compete in the global academic world.

According to the coordinator of this conference, Ms. Vedije Ratkoceri - PhD Assistant, all three cycles of studies were represented in this conference, and their presentations were divided into three sessions depending on the field of work: criminal law, civil law and international law.

The papers presented at the conference, after a process of dual assessment by the professors of the Faculty of Law, will be published in the Book of Conference Proceedings.

This conference was attended by students from Macedonia and Kosovo, who exchanged and compared their scientific experiences in the legal field.
