Solemn Academy at SEEU for the Albanian National Flag Day

"Our Novembers have risen up the tradition of our nation, by evaluating the great role of our patriots toward comprehensive development of our society. This date, now it is marked in the event calendar as the most important one - the Albanian National Flag Day that undoubtedly marks a historical, state and cultural fact of national importance. By waving freely the National Flag, 102 year ago, the Albanians have fulfilled the necessary conditions in order to enter the road of the state making and making the aspiration a national reality", said in the solemn academy organized for the Albanian National Flag Day at the South East European the Rector’s Advisor for PR and Communication, Demush Bajrami.

In his address, the Head of the SEEU Department of Albanian Language and Literature, Zeqir Kadriu, among other things, said: “Every nation has a national symbol, every nation respects and protects the national symbol, and every nation has a national symbol history. But rare are those nations who have raised the national symbol into national cult, rare are nations who have sacrificed their lives to avoid the violation of the national symbol, rare are nations who have a history of ancient national symbol. We Albanians are those who have kept the national symbol in our hearts and spirit when we were free or when we were enslaved”.

For this purpose was presented a documentary film prepared by the SEEU Information and Promotion Department, which illustrates the moments of waving of the national flag on the occasion of the proclamation of independence of Albania.
