Through the study programme International Relations and Diplomacy students gain skills and knowledge in the field of international relations, diplomacy and political sciences. Students gain managerial, advisory, political, analytical and legal skills and knowledge which can be applied to work in intitutions and organizations in the field of international relations, diplomatic missions as well as to works in multinational companies and organizations. At the same time, the study programme coincides with the labour market. As such, it makes an important contribution to training students to build a professional career through the acquisition of higher education qualifications in the line with the needs of the labour market.
Studies in International Relations and Diplomacy enable the fulfilment of educational needs to support students to start their professional careers in state, diplomatic, public, non-profit organizations, international government and non- governmental institutions and organizations, as well as educational institutions.
Knowledge and understanding
Has deep knowledge and competent understanding of theories in the field of diplomacy.
Has specific knowledge of negotiation, mediation and other ways of resolving conflicts.
Has some knowledge of the role of international organizations in diplomacy.
Has knowledge and clearly understands the foreign policy and key actors (state and non- state) who make up the dynamic network of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Applying knowledge and understanding
Successfully can engage in small diplomatic tasks, work in diplomatic missions or foreign affairs departments within various ministries and be a member of international trade organizations and other institutions.
Can work as a member of the team for the development of negotiating positions on international legal issues.
Can interpret theoretical perspective in international relations in certain cases.
Decsribes the role of diplomacy in world politics.
Making judgement
Judges current diplomacy and the processes at the international level.
Evaluates articles of varying complexity on international topics.
Has the ability to interpret relevant data for trials which are a reflection of relevant diplomatic issues.
Can think critically and give critical views to diplomatic organizations such as the foreign ministry and the work of diplomatic missions.
Communication skills
Can write letters in the framework of appropriate diplomatic communication.
Can write and present scientific papers and prepare research projects in the field of diplomacy.
Can present to the audience forms of solving specific problems in international relations and diplomacy.
Learning skills
Enhances knowledge by working in diplomatic legations.
Is able to identify personal needs for further knowledge and proceed with indivudual learning for global issues.
Is able to take and apply a new transparent way in Macedonian diplomacy in order to realize the country’s Euro- Atlantic perspective.

Research Methodology
This course is designed for students who are preparing the Master thesis. The main objectives of the course is for students to be offered tools for the construction of their thesis regarding the research question and creating methods for collecting data through qualitative and quantitative analysis. The subject is focused on problems of quantitative methods and techniques such as statistical analysis, texts related to the theory and testing hypothesis. In addition, topics of descriptive and causal inference are of significance, longitudinal, comparative and research case studies. Advanced information is offered for collecting data working with text. The aim is analyzing the data qualitatively, finally putting all theoretical and practical actions in the design and writing the thesis.

Globalisation and Governance
Objectives of the programme: To develop student’s analytical framework and historical context to understand globalization and management, their basic concepts, key political institutions and political dynamics. To enable students to debate on global politics. To develop student’s ability to understand the choices of opposing policies in relation to globalization. To understand how globalization and the global economic crisis affect the competitiveness of our country's positions and the inequalities in your society. To generate the student’s research skills for the new social phenomena of the century and to explore the creative ways to deal with them. To generate a sense of research, to gain written and oral communication skills related to globalization and management.

Political Management
Main objectives of the course: - To gain basic knowledge of the term policy and management - To be familiar with basic tools and activities in order to to distinguish the political processes under different criteria. - To gain adequate knowledge for preparation of a survey and field working. - Application of knowledge gained from other objects and building a particular methodology for the preparation of essays-paper work. - To analyze the electoral process and the method of execution. - To prepare a political speech and to simulate the appearance of a political event. - Ability to actively participate in a debate organized by the Student Union. - Ability to prepare and participate in research project, and present the results of scientific research. - To determine different ways and use of scientific sources, to study and read selectively and comparatively to analyze political processes.

History of Diplomacy
Through this course students will gain theoretical and methodological skills for understanding of diplomacy and diplomatic relations from historical and current perspectives. Students will be eligible for an independent and detailed scientific research work in the broadest sense of diplomacy, which would allow transmission of theoretical, scientific and research findings (knowledge) and knowledge in social practice.

Master Thesis
This module enables students to transfer their skills and knowledge to research and carry out more complex tasks related to their master thesis. The module is designed to be fully practical and students to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to approach writing the thesis. The module has unique return result-to enable students to write the master thesis with minimal difficulties, and with maximum efficiency. The course aims to improve research techniques and style of writing the paper, taking into account the prevention of the usage of illegal means, such as plagiarism and infringement of copyright, which are prohibited by the Statute of SEEU.
