Under the mentorship of Prof.Dr. Bekim Fetaji, CST Faculty students Drini Aliu and Jovica Saveski succeeded to represent SEEU by attending and wininga prize and certificate, and for their student presentation they received much support and applausefrom the other student competitorsand the audience. They created a multimedia live tile application for the representationof the South East European University, for which they won the certificate award “Coolest Live Title.”
The Hackathon (48 hours non-stop programming competition) lasted continuously for 48 hours, it was held at the same time in parallelin more than 100 locations around the world, in which more than 14,000 students were involved in total. The students were competing in creating a Windows 8 application, with the newest technologies and techniques. This was the first event of this kind ever held in Macedonia and certificateawards were given for different categories.
The name of the application the students created is “SEEU Win8 App”. The application gives the user the latest news from SEEU, the academic annual calendar, SEEU locations with Bing Maps, live Twitter updates, and many more information about South East European University, and it represents an informational portal for the University.
