Admission criteria and terms

The Right for enrolment have candidates that have achieved a GPA 8.00 and above during first and second cycle of studies in the respective field, have accumulated minimum 300 ECTS, have published scientific works and have adequate English language proficiency.

In cases when the applicant has completed second cycle studies in a field that is not appropriate to the area in which s/he applies to gain the third cycle scientific degree, a commission established by the respective faculty will decide on eventual additional conditions for adjustment of prior gained knowledge for enrolment in the respective programme.

According to the Law on Higher Education, candidates that have graduated in universities outside of the Republic of Macedonia are obliged to verify their diploma in the Ministry of Education and Sciences of RM, for which purpose they will receive administrative support of SEEU Student Services.

Language proficiency

For the study programs offered in English language, the minimum requirements for English proficiency are: TOEFL ITP min. 460 (paper based offered at SEEU) /   TOEFL IBT min. 57 (Internet based) / IELTS min. 5; or previously completed education in English language.

Priority for admission in programs offered in local languages will have the candidates who have knowledge of at least one foreign language. Proof of foreign language knowledge can be an international certificate, or a certificate issued by SEEU Language Centre, or a diploma for previously completed education in the appropriate foreign language.

The documentation needed for submission

All applicants upon application must submit the following documentation for the academic year 2015/2016:

1.      A completed Online Application Form available on the University website: www.seeu.edu.mk

2.      Application fee in amount of 1500 MKD (25 Euro)

3.      Biography, including a list of the candidate’s published material;

4.      The request should include the field of studies that the dissertation will be researched in and data about research aims;

5.      Motivation letter; 

6.      Certificate of results for English language proficiency;

7.      Photocopy of ID;

8.      Original Diploma from first and second cycle of studies (verified copy for diplomas outside of the Republic of Macedonia)

9.      Original transcript from first and second cycle of studies or verified copy
