SEEU Supports the Association of Blinds in Tetovo
The Centre for Cultural Interaction and Dialogue at SEEU organized an Intercultural Show titled “Teaching For and About Cultural Diversity” as part of the “Learning and Teaching Award 2012-13” project proposal.
On Wednesday (15 May 2013), at South East European University in Tetovo, the solemn opening of the Technological Park was done in the presence of Ministers of Economy and Education of Macedonia, Mayor of Tetovo and representatives of several embassies accredited in Macedonia.
Students of the Law Faculty under the leadership of the Dean, Prof. Dr. Ismail Zejneli, Pro Dean Doc. Dr. Jeton Shasivari and Professors: Prof. Dr. Asllan Bilalli and Prof. Dr. Adnan Jashari, conducted a study visit to Spain, where they visited the Senate of the Spanish Cortes in Madrid, and were informed about the history, organization, composition, functions and parliamentary legislative procedures.
On Tuesday (14 May 2013) South East European University and Ecolog, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), highlighting the shared objectives of the parties and the vision of advancing higher education and workforce development in the country. The MoU especially highlights the partnership between SEEU and Ecolog and the joining of forces in the development and provision of an industry tailored 2nd Cycle degree in Project Management that will adhere to industry/labour market trends and cater to the needs of, not only Ecolog, but also other local and international employers operating in an international and global context.
On Friday 10 May 2013 at SEEU, the English Department hosted a symposium on Teaching Sylvia Plath to mark the 50th anniversary of the American poet’s death. The English Department also hosted the Sylvia Plath Poetry Recitation Competition in which 40 school students participated from Kumanovo, Tetovo, Kichevo and Skopje.

Within the project Rritje Albania, supported by USAID, a delegation of five universities from Albania visited South East European University in order to become acquainted with SEEU’s experience in establishing and the functioning of the Career Centre, including career courses in their curricula.
On Thursday (9 May 2013) Europe Day was marked at both SEEU campuses in Tetovo and Skopje, in which, lectures were especially planned for this day.
On Wednesday (8 May 2013) at South East European University, the Career Fair officially was opened, organized by the SEEU Career Centre.
The workshop was held on April 26, 2013, at the premises of SEE University in Tetovo. 59 high school teachers from all over Macedonia participated at the workshop and were given certificates of completion.
The new study programme in European Studies which will offer a joint degree from both South East European University and the University of Ljubljana, was promoted on Thursday (25 April 2013), in the Information Centre of the European Commission in Skopje.

On Wednesday (24 April 2013), in the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Kosovo, Academician Alajdin Abazi held an inaugural lecture on topic "CONCEPTS OF INTELLIGENT ENERGY NETWORKS AND QUALITY OF POWER".
“Simply Visualizing Politics” is the project, which needs to be realized within six months and holders are Visar Shehu and Adrian Besimi, lecturers at the Faculty of Contemporary Sciences and Technologies-South East European University.
On Friday and Saturday (19-20 April 2013) at the South East European University in Tetovo, the traditional high school fair in Macedonia-Education Rendezvous, was opened. The fair was attended by 1000 students from 25 secondary schools in Macedonia, including many teachers of these schools.
On Saturday (13 April 2013),High school students, parents, teachers from high schools and all other interested parties, had the opportunity to become familiar with the study programmes offered by the South East European University (SEEU) for the academic year 2013/2014, and all associated infrastructure that the university has in order to offer standardized international studies, at the "Open Day" event.
