Admission terms and criteria

Right of enrolment in the University have all candidates that have completed four years secondary high school or its equivalent and that have passed state Matura.

If in the first enrolment session the foreseen number from the Call is not fulfilled, then in the second session the right on enrolment (beside those one that have passed state Matura) have candidates from the gymnasiums that have passed school Matura and candidates from professional high schools that have passed final exam.

Candidates that have finished four year secondary high school or its equivalent before 2008, have right to enroll on the basis of their high school success.

Note

Candidates that have finished four years secondary high school or its equivalent outside of Republic of Macedonia, have right to enroll only on the basis of their high school success. However they must verify their diploma during the first academic year in the Ministry of Education and Science of Republic of Macedonia.

Evaluation of the success from high school, state Matura and school Matura for candidates from gymnasiums or the final exam for those ones that have finished professional high schools (for the candidates on the second admission session), is expressed in points. The ranking will be based on the points.

Candidates are enrolled as full-time and part-time students with self finance of studies.

Advantage during enrolment in the part-time studies will be given to the candidates that have employment status and that have better results from high school. Employed candidates would have to certify their status.

Language Proficiency

All candidates will have to take English language testing. This testing does not have an eliminating character but is needed to determine the language proficiency level.

For the study programs offered in English language, the minimum requirements for English proficiency are: TOEFL ITP min. 460 (paper based offered at SEEU) / TOEFL IBT min. 57 (Internet based) / IELTS min. 5 or an equivalent score from the English Language Institutional Test from the Language Centre, SEEU.

Study regime

Study regime chosen by the candidates in the application phase remains until the call for studies, without possibility to alter it.

Evaluation of success

Evaluation of success will be expressed in points, i.e. the success from secondary school and state Matura will be calculated. Evaluation of the knowledge will be according to following criteria:

·         Success from secondary school (gymnasium or professional high school) and

·         Success from the state Matura

The documentation needed for submission

All applicants upon application must submit the following documentation for the academic year 2015/2016:

1.      A completed Online Application Form available on the University website: www.seeu.edu.mk)

2.      Application fee in amount of 1500 MKD (25 Euro)

3.      A short biography/letter of interest consisting of at least 500 words in which candidates should state the motivation of their application to SEEU.

4.      Original transcripts for all years (or notarized copies).

5.      High School diploma (original or verified copy)

6.      Certificate for the results from state Matura, i.e. school Matura or final examination.

7.      Birth certificate.

8.      Photo copy of ID or passport.

Note:

The transferred students should additionally provide the transcript of grades from the previous HE institution.

Candidates that apply before foreseen state Matura period, reserve the right for studying in the programme that they have applied. These candidates should submit the documents listed in items:  1, 2, 3, 4 (only the transcripts/grades certificate for the three completed years), 7 and 8.

Enrolment of these candidates will be official upon completion of the need documentation.
