Regional Quality Conference - sharing experiences and exchanging ideas

The second Regional Quality Conference on the themes of Assessment, Qualification and Evaluation in Higher Education took place on 20 June at South East European University, Tetovo Campus. This attracted about 150 researches from different universities from Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo

In his introduction, the Rector of South East European University, Prof. Dr Zamir Dika said, 'One aim of this conference is to promote a more serious commitment to quality improvement in the delivery of knowledge. This, we believe, will contribute to a more advanced system of quality management. In higher education, this means the quality of how we assess students, staff, institutions and systems.’

The University's Quality Advisor, Heather Henshaw, added, ‘The purpose of the conference is to make a real impact on the quality of evaluation, training and development in higher education in the region.’

One of the most positive aspects of the conference was the active participation of students, who presented academic posters and reported their views on all the sessions.

The Conference was a good opportunity for sharing experiences and exchanging ideas. A selection of full papers will be published in conference proceedings.
