This number has been achieved thanks to the interest and preparation of students of this University to compete and win in different exchange student programmes.
“There are10 students who are currently studying at European universities, with whom our University has signed an Erasmus bilateral agreement. Compared with the previous academic year, there is a significant increase in the number of students who have applied and are selected to participate in exchange programmes in universities such as Gothenburg in Sweden, Twente in the Netherlands, or Graz in Austria, "said Bujar Sinani, representative of the SEEU Research and International Relations Office.
During these studies, students have enjoyed their European experience which, according to them, doesn’t differ substantially from what they gain in their primary university, SEEU.
The Erasmus program in Macedonia started functioning in the academic year 2012/2013; South East European University has been active in sending students to universities in various European countries.
“If during the first two years, the universities from Macedonia could only send students on exchange, in the Erasmus + programme, which starts from the academic year 2014/2015, the exchange will be mutual and South East European University will host of a large number of international students, in part because we offer a large number of study programmes in English, " says Mr. Sinani.
The Erasmus programme promotes learning and understanding of the host country, as well as the feeling of being part of a network of international students. For most students, the Erasmus programme represents their first experience of living and studying abroad.
