Open Day Held at SEEU

On Saturday (13 April 2013),High school students, parents, teachers from high schools and all other interested parties, had the opportunity to become familiar with the study programmes offered by the South East European University (SEEU) for the academic year 2013/2014, and all associated infrastructure that the university has in order to offer standardized international studies, at the "Open Day" event.



The public Call for Student Enrolment was announced during the event, which offers some novelties, especially new programs in the field of integrated studies and joint programs with recognized universities from the region and European Union countries. Integrated programs will be offered at the Faculty of Contemporary Sciences and Technologies, where international experts will be engaged, where 50% of learning takes place at the university, while 50% at companies.

“With this Call we are offering 19 undergraduate programmes, 30 master programs, 4 online programmes (the only university that offers such programmes in the region) and 6 third cycle programmes or PhD, with 12 modules, which are realized through the Doctoral School. This academic offer proves that our University is increasing both in terms of quantity as well as quality. These programmes continue to be offered in five faculties, the Faculty of Business and Economics, Faculty of Contemporary Sciences and Technologies, Faculty of Public Administration and Political Sciences, Faculty of Languages, Cultures and Communication and Faculty of Law," said SEEU’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika.

Another Novelty includes the expansion of SEEU in another building with more space in Skopje, specifically at the former mall “Most”.

According to the Call in the new academic year 2013/2014, SEEU expects new enrolment with 1300 students in order to keep ambitions of high quality university education according to international standards.

At the Open Day, a special guest was present, Kanita Suma, one of the finalists of the X-Factor in Albania, to whom SEEU’s Rector gave recognition for her success.

Within the "Open Day" event, a large number of activities were held, such as: exhibition by students of Communication Sciences, activities of Student Parliament, football tournament finals between a secondary school in Tetovo, organized by the SEEU Sport Department, including a rich cultural and entertainment program.
