The ranking was announced on Friday (17 February 2012), by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Macedonia.
“This ranking confirms and justifies our mission and the support and confidence placed in us by the government of the United States, the European Union and other European countries; that even in this area a higher education institution can be established that meets international standards. On this occasion I would like to express sincere gratitude to the founders and international and local staff who continue to follow our journey towards meeting future challenges,” said SEEU’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika.
The process was completed in line with the Berlin Principles for ranking higher education institutions. According to the quality research of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, SEEU has been ranked second in the country. This ranking is referred only to domestic universities. The ranking is based on the criteria fulfilled by higher education institutions and evaluation is calculated in percentage. Ranking stimulates competition among institutions of higher education and provides important information regarding the status of the higher education institution for employers, economy, students and parents, etc.
