The field of criminal justice is changing nowadays. The latest technological advancements, coupled with contemporary world events, have created an ever-increasing need for criminal justice professionals who have insight into the sociological, legal, theoretical, technological and practical areas of law enforcement in the cyber world.
This professional program will allow for a higher degree of specialization in both legal and IT fields and as such it is designed for those who want to advance in the field of criminal justice with an important component of the ICT in it, or simply gain a deeper understanding of this fascinating discipline in a professional matter. Degree candidates will take courses where they will analyze criminal behavior on the cyber ecosystem, apply the knowledge in forensics investigation, learn theories of social control, and gain an informed perspective of law enforcement, the judicial system, and technology means in general.

The aim of this course is to inform the students about the legal aspects of computer crime. The use of informative technologies is the main characteristic of modern times. The life of the contemporary human being is unimaginable without technology which is an important segment. On the other hand, this kind of technological achievement has its own dark side which includes use of technology for criminal purposes. In the contemporary aspect, computer crime is very evident and widespread form of crime taking into consideration the large number of users of informative technologies which corresponds to the large number of victims of such crimes. This course will help students understand the forms of appearance of computer crime, its regulation with legal provisions as well as the main phenomenological, typological and ethiologcal characteristics of this form of criminality.

Applied Digital Forensics Investigation
This course aims to provide students with knowledge and understanding about the different data that can be used to investigate both digital and non-digital crime, as well as the the processes and tools used to conduct computer forensic investigation. Students will be exposed to different use cases, through which they will learn to identify the tasks they need to perform and choose the appropriate approach and tools to be used. Students will also analyse artifacts and details they may have been missing during their examinations.
