The University pursues an open admissions policy, subject to certain restrictions as described below. Open admission means that the University is committed to admitting anyone qualified to participate in its aca¬demic programmes. Applicants, therefore, must meet the admission requirements to be considered for a place at the University.

The University can not admit more students than its capaci¬ties permit. In the event that the number of qualified applicants exceeds the University’s capacity, the University employs a selection process. Priority will be given to applicants:

• Belonging to under represented groups in higher education in the Republic of Macedonia

• Who have participated in activities in the context of secondary education, community work, post-secondary education, or work experience with private firms or organizations that offer significant evidence of an applicant’s special effort and determination, or that may indicate special suitability to an academic programme offered by the University.
