,,Multimedia CD for learning Albanian language", prepared by the Faculty of languages, cultures and communication with coordinator Prof.Dr Mustafa Ibrahimi and the Faculty of contemporary sciences and technologies with the coordinator Prof.Dr.Zamir Dika is elected as the best research project for 2006-2007 at SEEU. Promotion of the project was held on Monday (16.06.2008) in the presence of students, representatives of academic and administrative staff and participants in the project.
„This is the first multimedia CD for learning Albanian language projected in Macedonia", said Prof. Dr Mustafa Ibrahimi one of the coordinators of the project. He said that CD will be beneficial to foreigners that want to learn Albanian language.
Dean of the Faculty of languages, cultures and communication, Prof. Dr Vebi Bexheti said that we are on a good way beside academic activities to develop research activities.
Dean of the Faculty of Contemporary sciences and technologies Prof. Dr Murtezan Ismaili said that participation in the joint project of academic staff and students promote Research at SEEU.
Pro-rector for Research Prof. Dr Dennis Farrington said that the project is very significant for the both biggest communities in Macedonia and useful for flexible use of languages.
The CD is consisted of 14 lessons in which different kind of situations are explained that enable learning of Albanian language on the level A1 and A2 according to the European system for learning languages Altea.
At SEEU was promoted the FP7 program
SEEU Research Office in cooperation with Ministry of Education and Science of Republic of Macedonia, Thursday (May 29th 2008), at South East European University organized a presentation of FP7 program.
"This program is basic instrument of European Union for support of scientific research and technological development. The Program will be realized during the period 2007-2013, the total budget allocated for implementation of this program is 50.521 billion Euros", said Diturie Ismaili, Head of Research Office at SEEU.
The presentation was conducted by the representative of Ministry of Education and Science of Republic of Macedonia, Violeta Atanasovska, Head of FP7 Office. She said that FP7 is organized in four specific programs and one additional, which correspond to four main aims of European Research Policy in promoting and stimulating the excellence in research. The main aims of the program are: cooperation, which understands trans-national research in 10 priority fields; ideas which understand frontal research; human resources or human potential, research capacities and establishment of joint research centre.
In FP7 program are included several kinds of projects as in the following: cooperation projects, nets of excellence, individual projects, etc. This program is focused in several fields of interest: health, food, agriculture and bio-technology, information and communication technologies, nano-sciences, energy, environment, socio-economic sciences, security, etc.

On March 18th, 2008 was held the 15th Meeting of the Committee for Academic Research at SEEU. One of the points of the agenda was the nomination of the best research project for 2006/2007 academic year.
Each faculty was asked to bring proposals for the most successful project of 2006/2007 chosen by the Faculty Research Boards.
The Research Board of the Law Faculty nominated the project "Trafficking in Human Beings - legal aspects" coordinated by Professor Bistra Netkova, as the best project for 2006/2007 academic year.
The best project nominated from the PA Faculty Research Board, was "Rule of Law and the reforms of public administration" coordinated by Prof. Jonuz Abdullai.
The project "Multi medial CD for learning the Albanian language" coordinated by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ibrahimi was the nominated one from the TT Faculty Research Board for 2006/2007 academic year.
At the CST Faculty, the Faculty Research Board had nominated as the best project for 2006/2007 academic year, the project "Self-referenced system in artificial intelligence and quantum physics – radical theory and application" coordinated by Prof. Dr. Biljana Percinkova.
Because BA Faculty has not finished yet with their research project of 2006/2007, they didn't compete with other research projects.
Each member of the Academic Research Committee had the right to vote for two projects and after the voting process, it was realised that the project "Multimedia CD for the learning of the Albanian language" won most of the votes and it was declared as the best research project for 2006/2007.
