The Journal of Teaching and Learning (JTL) titled “Talking About Learning,” is an open access, peer-reviewed international journal published by the Language Center at South East European University (SEEU) in Tetovo, Republic of Macedonia. The main objective of JTL “Talking About Learning” is to promote a scholarly and academic discussion about teaching and learning as well as to share our research and practical classroom experiences with one another in order to improve the teaching and learning process. JTL “Talking About Learning” aims to promote interdisciplinary research about teaching and learning in all fields and disciplines and to become a leading journal for teaching and learning with local, regional and international impact.

JTL “Talking About Learning” Language Center Advisory Board supported by the International Editorial Review Board is happy to announce a call for papers for the upcoming issue scheduled to be published in May 2012.  The papers published with us will serve the local, regional, and the international academic community to help improve teaching and learning through pragmatic and scientific paradigms as well as help SEEU and the Language Center to remain leaders in this field.

The journal is published in print and a copy of each issue is uploaded on the SEEU web page. (please check the link provided above)

JTL “Talking About Learning” is inviting papers for Vol. 3 No. 1 which is scheduled to be published in May 15, 2012.

Deadline for manuscript submission extended to March 12, 2012.

Guidelines for submission:

We welcome articles and papers about teaching and learning from professionals and academics teaching and researching about teaching in different fields and disciplines.  Articles/manuscripts ought to discuss and synthesize matters of teaching practices and theories deriving both from experience and research, or in other words, a synthesis of theory and praxis.

There is no specific limit for manuscript length. All manuscripts are subject to a review by the international editorial review board. We have set APA as a writing style for in text citation and referencing. Footnotes are not accepted. We expect your manuscript has not been published elsewhere nor it is being considered for publication in another journal.  If your article was published previously or it is being considered for publication you need to notify us and provide us with copyrights from the journal where it was published or where it is being published to avoid any possible copyright disputes. Please note that by submitting an article for publication with us you agree to provide the SEEU Language Center exclusive copyrights. If you wish to publish the same article elsewhere please ask for copyright/reprint permission and we will gladly provide you with one.

Call for Papers

Vol. 8 Nr. 1

SEEU Reviewis an international scientific review published by South East European University which aims to provide an international forum for research, analysis, and debate from a broad range of fields, such as: law, economy, public administration, international relations, political sciences, languages, communication, technology sciences, environment etc.

SEEU Reviewseeks to publish original work that demonstrates currency and relevance to the field of study. Submitted papers will be peer-reviewed by blind reviewers from specific fields included in the review.

SEEU Reviewis published twice a year.

Guidelines for manuscript submission  

Submitted manuscripts must not be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere, and authors must assign copyright to South East European University if the manuscript is selected for publication.

The preferred language for manuscripts is English, but submissions in Albanian and Macedonian may be considered under specific requests. Manuscripts should be submitted to the Editor via review@seeu.edu.mk

Authors should submit their articles electronically to SEEU Review in Microsoft Word format, and all manuscripts must be spell-checked and proofread from an English native speaker prior to submission. All submissions must follow APA (American Psychological Association) style for format and references (footnotes and endnotes are not permitted). Manuscripts should not exceed 8,000 words, including the abstract (which should be 200 to 300 words), references, and other elements.

The entire manuscript, including the abstract, the reference list, and any tables, should be presented as A4 size paper with single-spaced typescript in 12-point Times New Roman. It should begin with a cover page, giving the title of the paper, the name(s) of the author(s), institutional affiliation(s) and correspondence address(es), e-mail address(es), a suggested shorter title for running heads, and three to five keywords. On the next page, put the article title and the abstract, then continue with the body of the article. All pages must be numbered.

Authors are discouraged from using figures. If there is sufficient cause to include figures, authors must submit original electronic copies in EPS, TIF, or high-resolution JPG format. If tables are included, they must be created in Word, not Excel.

The deadline for submission of papers is 30 April 2012!
