eLearning Centre - IT Training and Education
With the new emerging Information and Instructional Technologies and their influence on teaching and learning it becomes a must to equip faculty members with the necessary skills to handle with these developments and utilize their benefits in teaching and learning.
Furthermore the eLearning Center provides assistance in enhancing teaching and learning effectiveness through the development of interactive online supplementary material to traditional courses as well as organizing training workshops related to the development and delivery of online material.
eLearning Center strive to be leader in e-Learning in Balkan region and lead the efforts towards effective utilization of web-based education to enhance teaching and learning. eLearning Center mission is preparing educators empowered with the knowledge and skills in eLearning to deliver outstanding teaching experience.
The Center has undertake the following objectives as the means to accomplish its mission:
Increase SEEU Community awareness of the potential of e-learning in enhancing teaching and learning;
- Promote the development and delivery of quality online courses;
- Provide training and support consistent with the best information about the latest development in e-learning subject, best practices and quality online teaching;
- Ensure educational quality and efficiency in e-learning activities.
The eLearning Center provides a number of services to the university community in order to achieve its objectives.

The eLearning Center regularly organize workshops on different issues related to eLearning like benefits and limitations of e-Learning, instructional design, online teaching, etc... Professionals of international repute in eLearning are invited to conduct these events.
Software and Resources
The eLearning Center provides required software, like Learning Management Systems – LIBRI (https://libri.seeu.edu.mk) to ensure successful delivery of eLearning activities. Learning Management System - LIBRI help faculty members to carry out course related activities through the web. This includes course content delivery, communication, collaboration and assessment to.
Hands-on training programs are frequently conducted for SEEU faculties to enable them to develop effective online instruction. These training programs cover a wide range of topics starting from instructional design of online courses where participants are introduced to various concepts and tools that help in designing pedagogically sound online courses to the development of online content using various development tools like Camtasia studio, Adobe Connect etc. In addition the Center provides training on LIBRI and its tools to enable faculty members to publish their courses online.
Online Instructional Material
The eLearning Center provides support to develop online courses. Faculty members provide only the content of the online course and the support team in the eLearning Center does the rest of the job. In addition the eLearning Center provides assistance to all faculty members to develop quality online instructional material to enhance student learning.
e-Learning Quality Standards
To ensure quality in all eLearning activities at SEEU, the Center has started the development of guidelines and quality standards for eLearning processes like content development, course delivery, assessment and evaluation, copyright, online teaching etc.
Learning Management System - LIBRI
LIBRI is online Learning Management System (LMS) available to the university community to deliver and conduct their courses through web.
The LIBRI system facilitate instructors in carrying out course related activities through web including course content delivery, communication, collaboration, and assessment. LIBRI is a flexible and feature rich course development system. This provides freedom and control to the course designers and is thus used with a number of course at the university.
For LIBRI, course accounts are created on LMS on the request of SEEU faculty members corresponding to one of their courses running during a semester. Faculty members can write to the LIBRI Administrator to request a course account. LIBRI administrator provides support to the university faculty members and students on how to use it.
Till now SEEU was offering few distance education courses but starting from this academic year completely online degree programs will be available to future students.
SEEU professors work together with eLearning Center to translate their expertise and dedication into the online environment.
The eLearningCentre is located in SEE University campus, building 701 and is open throughout the week from 08:00 to 20:00 and Saturday from at 08:00 to 17:00.
